Your newest third wheel and family guide,
Nu Faumuina
Everyone calls me Nu, like “brand new!” No worries if you guessed wrong the first time… most people do!
I am a family and lifestyle photographer based in the rural countryside of South Auckland. My passion for families is at the heart of why NJireh Photography exists. Together with my amazing, supported wife who has been my constant support and the backbone of NJireh Photography.
I have loved photography since the first iPhone was introduced back in 2007. Like many people, life moved quickly, and I wasn’t always sure where that passion would lead. That changed after the birth of our first child. I realized how quickly time passes, and I didn’t want those moments to slip away unnoticed. That is when I picked up my camera without hesitation—and I have not looked back since.
I BELIEVE IN SERVING OTHERS BY GIVING BACK.
Even before launching our business, we knew this would be part of its foundation. From the beginning, our heart was that every penny that you pay would go toward supporting missionaries and their families serving across Asia, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, and beyond. I knew this was something I needed to manifest and build into the business, and I hope the families who choose to work with us will also find meaning in giving back. As someone once said,
“I would rather be a blessing than a burden, a giver than a receiver.”
My Approach
My approach is simple. I prefer to be blend into the background, while capturing the moment as it unfolds. Rather than try to stage a moment. I love creating a space where families can feel natural, realistic, and comfortable, allowing raw moments to unfold. My hope is that the photographs we create together will tell your family’s story (legacy) and be passed down through generations.
Moments Worth Cherishing
In a world that never slows down, we often overlook the moments that truly matter most. Yet these are reminders of God’s artistry, beautifully displayed all around us. As a photographer, I believe life was never meant to be rushed through. These moments deserve to be noticed, cherished, and remembered for generations to come. That’s why I love photography. It is my way of preserving those precious moments that remind us of what truly matters.
